How can I contribute? PDF Print E-mail

All Kansas Masons receive two fundraising letters a year giving them an opportunity to make a gift to the Foundation.  100% of all gifts are given to the charity because the Kansas Masonic Foundation has endowed funds which are used to operate the foundation.

Gift annuities is one way in which someone can make a gift and receive a predictable, guaranteed income for the rest of your life.  Give cash or appreciated stock to create a charitable gift annuity and receive an attractive payout based on your age at the time you set it up.  The older you are, the higher the rate of payments you receive.  You also receive an income tax deduction in the year you arrange your gift annuity and a portion of your payments may be tax-free.  Pluse, you have the satisfaction of knowing your gift will ultimately support the Kansas Masonic Cancer Research Institute.

Gifts by Will, or Charitable Bequests, are by far the easiest and a popular deferred gift method to complete a major gift for the Foundation.  Establishing a bequest for the charities of the Kansas Masonic Foundation can be as simple as leaving cash, property or securities to the Foundation in your Will or living trust.  Charitable remainder trusts allow you to designate a future gift for Masonic charities while keeping the right to an attractive current income from the contributed assets for a period of years for your lifetime or that of your designated beneficiary.  Remainder interests in farms and residences offer tax benefits while allowing donors to enjoy their property during their lifetimes.  Gifts of life insurance, or a retirement plan, can offer an easy way to complete a very significant gift for Masonic charities without depleting other assets.  You also may choose to make a gift in honor or in memory of a family member or friend.  These funds go into the permanent endowment to keep on giving forever.

If you are interested in any additional information on any of these giving opportunities, please contact Nancy Lindberg, Development Director, Kansas Masonic Foundation.
